I have decided to book at Motel One from June 21 plus 5 days. I might actually go there from June 20 plus 5 days, but have not decided that yet. Either day I will arrive at the Motel One abour 02.00 p.m. I will probably take the bus down from Copenhagen, Denmark (7 hours) since I have no use for a car in Berlin. And it’s cheaper by bus
.
Hope to see some of you there.
I have reserved a room at Motel One using this address: berlin-kudamm@motel-one.com, and the code word “Photo Summit”.
Best wishes
Knut

This is just excellent. You have made my day for sure. You, as an old timer, will surely provoke more of the site old-timers, to attend as well
.
I am really looking forward to this event. In fact I may be there a day early as well.

Since the Motel One is full by now, I booked a room at the Ibis Berlin-Mitte, Prenzlauer Allee 4 – 10405 BERLIN.
See you all in 2.5 months …

That is just great. I am really happy that you are able to make it. I went with bus 200 last time I was there. It takes about 15 minutes to “HQ” in Q-damm.
Less time by train, imo. It is not going to be an issue. Are you bringing your wife?
Cheers

I relocated to the Motel One and canceled the Ibis. By the way, no need for calling – an e-mail will work just fine.

Ok, I know I have been pretty much the “where did he go?” guy lately but I have still had this in the back of my mind. I am researching whether I can go or not. The airfare from the US is NOT cheap (almost $1500 USD!) and that’s with at least one stop (15 hours+ to get there). Plus hotel for the week, and food, and (some) fun, it will be $2500 USD in the end at least. I really want to go but need to think it through a little more. I’d love nothing more to see you guys and could sure use a small vacation of seeing Berlin and walking around with my G2….I’ll keep you posted on my thoughts over the next week as I plan to decide soon….

Hi Knut
I am just printing the hotel reservation. Our rooms are kept until 6pm.
So this means that if participants should go straight to the dinner place and don’t check-in first, they should contact Motel one (otherwise there reservation is lost)
As you probably know all arrival times, maybe its good to contact the involved participants separately

No, it does not mean that. If you look at the draft program you will see that we meet at the hotel at 06.00 pm. That should, I hope, give you time to get to the hotel. Dinner is 07.00 pm.
I will, anyway, stay at the hotel to close to 07.00 pm. My idea is to book dinner a 5 minutes walk from the hotel. If that is to narrow a time limit we simply move the dinner till a bit later.
If you don’t make the hotel within their deadline you should notify the hotel about that directly. Good idea to take down their phone number. Just in case
.
And please send me an sms as well. I am sure everything will be fine :-.
Cheers
