Adjusting the Blog and the Project.

Blogging from Berlin did not come off. I simply did not have the time for it. Berlin is far more interesting as a city for shooting, than for me to spend time behind a PC .

The project is now also so mature, that some adjustments should be made to the blog,  and the project. Here are the major adjustments, that will be made:

1. I have tried TWO  ”call for pictures” from potential participants. The only one, who has responded to that,  is Jan. His fine portpolio stands as the only participant blog gallery. If you still would like to have your own blog gallery, please send me pictures “off blog”, and I’ll load them. This, however, will be that last call for pictures.

2. Possible sponsorships were to be based on blog galleries, that showed the quality of our work. Since we have no galleries, apart from Jan’s (and my own test gallery), I will use no more time on sponsorships. The blog will be adjusted accordingly. The Page concerning sponsorships has been deleted.

3. However, there will be another opportunity to display your work on the blog. If you have shots from former visits to Berlin, and a little inspirational story to go with it, please send the shots “off blog” (and the story), and I’ll have it loaded. Fell free to submit pictures from Berlin, shot with any camera (we really should have some pictures on the blog) .

4. Hotel am Scheunenviertel was intended to be our preferred hotel. I visited the hotel when in Berlin. The hotel does not have the neccessary facilities that we need; a meeting room for e.g,  short lectures, a small bar, locations for discussions of prints, book project and the likes. You can still book at this hotel, if you want to, but it will no longer be the preferred hotel, nor will it be placed in the preferred area of town to stay in. I had the chance to visit other hotels, and areas of town, that better serve our purposes, and I will present those new options shortly. (The Steering Committee are reviewing them at present)

5. Consequently, The Blog Page concerning booking at Hotel am Scheunenviertel, will be rephrased to a page where you should state at which hotel you intend to stay. When you read this post, that adjustment have already been made.

6. Best of all; I have got better prices from some hotels in, what I consider, the same standard group as Hotel am Scheunenviertel, but in much “better” areas of Berlin.
