New Call for Pictures

Seems that the first idea of how to get pictures to this blog did not work (I haven’t had a single). So, I have made it much more easy.
If you intend to go to Berlin, then pick 5 of your very best pictures and send them to me to me off blog, and I’ll load them. I’ll make a 5 picture mini gallery for each participant, based on the model of my TEST Gallery.
Yesterday and the day before, I approached Fujifilm and several other parties in Germany for sponsorships, so people in Germany now visit the blog to see pictures. We had 17 google translations of the of entire blog yesterday. From English to German.
Please be aware, that the blog has a limited server capacity, so don’t send images more than 600 pixels wide or high.
The post with your images in it will have the following title: “Your Name: Blog Gallery” and will be tagged with the following tags: your name, image, gallery, blog gallery.
There will be a copyright notice in your name, as well.

Hi Knut,
Ok, you are right bout the pics all participants should post them.
One question however, I think that a lot of us should look and polish up some older works and that might take some time.
Should it be wise to have a deadline (or even 3), per batch to upload. I personally will refine some older works thanks to new digital techniques and I need some time for that.
What do you think ?

If you talk about having loaded 5 pictures to this blog, I think it will be good enough just to resize some of your older pictures and send them to me for upload. If you want to work them over, that is even better, but I am not sure that, in your case, that will be necessary since they hold such a good quality already.
The reason I hold a bit back on picture size, is that I wouldn’t much like to hit the roof of free server capacity. Going over a certain capacity border, I will have to pay for this blog.
My test gallery, that I loaded yesterday, takes 4% of total free capasity, and the pictures are, as you can see, in different sizes since I took them directly from The Contax G Pages. Roughly speaking, I estimate 5% of capacity usage per blog gallery.
Jan, I am not sure that I understand the point of 3 deadlines? Pls. elaborate :-). Just be as quick as you can, since the first picture loads gets the most attention. Yesterday, we made an all time high of 213 hits in one day, or more than double of the second best day of 113 hits. Many hits must be credited to Wilfred, I know, but even so :-).
